HEAD OF SCHOOLS
Has been teaching since 1998 and has served as Principal of Sussex Christian School since 2001. Marsha has a B.Sc. in Christian School Education from Kingswood University, a M.Sc in Education from Cairn University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. Dr. Boyd Mitchell’s doctoral research focus was spiritual formation of adolescents who attend a Christian High School. She also serves as the Executive Director of Christian Action Federation of NB.
PRINCPAL
VICE PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATION
Mrs. Moss has been teaching since 1985 and has served SCS in various capacities since 1987. Mrs. Moss currently serves as Vice-Principal Administration. She earned her B.Ed. from the University of New Brunswick and completed her Master’s Degree from Cairn University with research emphasis in 21st Century math methods.
WINGS DIRECTOR
Sherry Cowper is our WINGS teacher as well as teaching math/art to our high school department. She has over 25 years teaching experience at SCS. She has taught students from preschool-grade 12. She is a graduate of Kingswood University’s Christian School Education program, and holds a Master of Education with a focus on learning exceptionalities.
WINGS
Mr. Dorey guides the Working with Individuals Needing Guidance for Success (WINGS) program. Mr. Dorey is a Board-Certified Behaviour Technician and continues to pursue further professional development through the University of New Brunswick. He is the proprietor of Dorey Behavioural Services and also provides training for SCS staff in relation to working with students with exceptionalities.
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Mrs. McCallum is our International Director. Mrs. McCallum is a graduate of Kingswood University and has finished her Master’s from Cairn University. Mrs. McCallum’s master’s research emphasis was in implementing Reader’s Theater into the classroom. Previous to this role Mrs. McCallum had a career teaching in our elementary department as well as being a host home for many of our International students through the years. She brings to the role of ID a desire to connect SCS to the students/families around the world.
DIRECTOR EARLY LEARNING
Naomi Mackay is our Director of Early Childhood Education and runs our Little Lights Early Learning Centres. Mrs. MacKay has a Diploma of Biblical and Theological Studies from NBBI as well as a B.A. in Christian School Education from Kingswood University. She has teaching experience at Christian Schools in both Portugal and Nova Scotia. Little Lights Preschool was directed and operated in Sussex by Mrs. MacKay for 8 years. Then in 2020, she partnered with SCS to form the new SCS Little Lights Early Learning Center, adding her experience in preschool education to the SCS team.
SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Anne Graham works in a part time role at SCS to provide private office hours and consultation to administration. Over the past twenty years she has worked with children, adolescents, and their families in various capacities. Mrs. Graham has a BA in Psychology, MA in Applied Psychology and is licensed with the college of applied psychologists of NB.
KINDERGARTEN/ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mrs. Landry is our Kindergarten to Grade 1 teacher. She leads her classroom with great zeal and desires every student to feel valued. Mrs. Landry is a graduate of Kingswood University majoring in Christian School Education and taught for 9 years at Halifax Christian Academy before coming to SCS.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mrs. Gray holds diplomas from NBCC in Early Childhood Education, Human Services and Business. Her wealth of experience in early education, as well as teaching across a variety of grade and subject areas positions her well to anchor the grade 2-3 homeroom.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mrs. Long is the 2023 Valedictorian of her Kingswood University Class where she graduated with Christian School Education Degree. She brings with her experience working one to one with exceptional students. We are pleased to have Mrs. Long as the homeroom teacher for grades 4-5.
FRENCH K-12
Mme. Mallery teaches French for Grades K-12 as well as Child Psychology in our high school department. Mme. Mallery has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from St. Thomas University, a minor in French, has been tutoring French for over 20 years and is completely bilingual. She has 16 years of experience in Early Years Education in Sussex previous to SCS. Mme. Mallery continues to update her education, currently working on a certificate of Christian School Education through Kingswood University.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Mr. Jones is a graduate of New Brunswick Bible Institute, earning a Diploma of Advanced Biblical Ministries, and a Bachelor of Theology through Covington Theological. He is also currently pursuing his Christian School Education Certificate through Kingswood University. He is the homeroom teacher for grade 6 and teaches in our middle school Department.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Mrs. Vicky Lee is a graduate of NCACC and comes to SCS following a career in diagnostic and interventional general and cardiac imaging. Mrs. Lee has updated her education with CSE courses at Kingswood University. Mrs. Lee teaches middle school math.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Mrs. Robichaud is the homeroom teacher for grade 8. She completed her first Bachelor's Degree at (ABU) Crandall University in English. After homeschooling for 13 years, she returned to Crandall University and completed her Bachelor of Education degree and French Immersion Education Certificate. She teaches across the disciplines in the middle school department.
HIGH SCHOOL
Miss Carruthers teaches English and history/social studies courses in our high school department . Miss Carruthers is a homeroom teacher for Grade 9. She has a depth of experience working in different cultures and has lived overseas in Hong Kong and Odessa, Ukraine.Miss Carruthers is a graduate of Bethel School of Missions, Kingswood University and is working on a Master’s degree in Education from Cairn University.
HIGH SCHOOL
Miss Jennifer Morris comes to SCS with a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University and a Diploma in Performing Arts from Randolph College. She is homeroom for grade 10 and teaches theatre arts, music, directs our school worship band and leads elementary music. She has many years of experience acting and singing on stage and directs our annual high school major production. As well as leading worship at her local church, she is so happy to be a part of a school that incorporates the love and life of Jesus into the curriculum!
HIGH SCHOOL
Mr. Lewis has joined the SCS team to be part of the teaching staff in our high school department and to bring leadership to our athletic department. He holds a degree in business from University of PEI. He has a varied background from accounting to agriculture and will bring much strength to our core electives. Mr. Lewis is currently working on his certificate in Christian School Education from Kingswood University.
HIGH SCHOOL
Mrs. McDonald is the Grade 11 homeroom teacher and teaches/facilitates electives for high school students. Mrs. McDonald is a graduate of New Brunswick Bible Institute, Covington Theological Seminary and a Masters of Science in Education from Cairn University. Mrs. McDonald’s Master’s research emphasis was reading comprehension and LD students. She leads our student council and helps with our worship band.
HIGH SCHOOL
Dr. McInnis teaches a variety of courses across the high school curriculum. He is an English Literature specialist who has earned a doctorate from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland with a research emphasis in C.S. Lewis and George MacDonald. He is a tremendous asset in areas of History and English.

Mrs. Wilson brings leadership each year to our graduating seniors. She teaches across the disciplines in the high school department. Mrs. Wilson is also the Duke of Edinburgh staff representative. She is a graduate of Kingswood University and has completed a Master’s of Education from Cairn University with a research emphasis in the Socratic Method. Mrs. Wilson is currently working on her doctorate from Liberty University.
